 A Spartacus of Africa 2016

A SPARTACUS OF AFRICA returns to South African stages in November 2016! A Spartacus of Africa is Veronica Paeper’s dynamic re-telling of the timeless story of a man’s fight for freedom; a prisoner who leads his countrymen to revolt against oppression – and a woman who must accept her husband’s ultimate sacrifice. After our successful staging of this truly GRAND-SCALE production in 2015, SANDT is once again bringing A Spartacus of Africa to South African audiences. Our 2016 touring production is a two act version of the ballet in a fresh and transported form, featuring 21 of South Africa’s most talented professional dancers.
